So…as the title would suggest I am a new blogger in town and this is post #1.
And in true blogger fashion, post #1 is going to be an about me so here we go. Let’s begin.

I am 22 years old at press time. (I will be 23 in 20 days/on the 23rd).
I was born and raised in Minnesota where I still currently reside. A suburban life is basically all I’ve ever known…I have lived in the same house since I was two years old, save for threes years spent in Wisconsin, more on that in a bit.
I’m stubborn to a fault, and hate to be wrong, but that’s partially why my life is as successful as it is. I rarely give in. If I want it, I’ll find a way to get it.
I’m a Libra/Scorpio cusp, so if you follow zodiac know that I have traits of both signs…it gets interesting.
I’m also working hard at leading a healthier lifestyle and so far so good on that!

Currently, I live with my parents whom I moved back in with September 2012, and my older brother Ben. There’s also Gibson, our 5-year-old Pekingese – Poodle (and yes he is named after the guitars, no he is not named after Mel.)

Now some more about me, eh?

Well, like I said I’m 22 at the moment.
I’m a senior at Augsburg College in Minneapolis studying Music Business, with big plans to work in the entertainment industry preferably  on an international level.
Although I am a senior at Augsburg, this is only my second semester here. I transferred here from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls where I studied Social Studies Education, with big plans to be a teacher. However three years into that I realized…NOOOOO~~ I really don’t want to be a teacher this isn’t right for me. Thus I changed my major, did a semester at a community college where with the help of all my transfer credits completed my Associate of Arts Degree and then moved on to Augsburg. Honestly, I couldn’t be any happier with that ridiculously stressful series of decisions; Augsburg is perfect for me and I love the Music Business major here!

Music is my life, and that’s a part of why I wanted to change fields.
I listen to everything; country, pop, electro, funk, jazz, soul, r&b, rock, screamo, metal, even some rap here & there. I will listen to it all.
My favorite genre though, the genre that truly made me realize what I want to do for a career is actually Korean Pop.
Yes, I am that white girl who loves her some K-Pop. It’s exciting and keeps me entertained at all hours of the day. I’ve even gone to California twice for concerts. I would count those as two of the best trips I’ve ever taken!

Other than music, I love books of all kinds, movies of every genre, art of all sorts, and spending time with family and my best friends.
I do enjoy a little bit of body art too, as I have 14 piercings and 3 tattoos. To be fair 13 of my piercings are in my ears.
I also currently work in retail at a Bed Bath & Beyond store to make money for life’s daily expenses. It’s not where I want to be in a few years, but I do honestly love my job!

So, I think that is pretty good look at who I am as a person.
